The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser
Charli XCX is gearing up for a major film onslaught in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she portrays what she refers to as a twisted version of her public image.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, Charli stated.
She further explained in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea stemmed from the pressure to make one.
A Sneak Peek into The Project
The initial preview, unveiled on this week, blends actual recordings from her recent tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who revealed that the plot centers on a scenario where the artist opted for alternate decisions in the marketing of her chart-topping release Brat.

Next February will also include the release of the filmmaker’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from Charli.
She is also set to provide music for the drama Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.
The mockumentary will be released on January 30.
